Gouden vulpotlood met potloodstift van J.J. den Daas, vrijwilliger bij de reconstructie van het Leidse bevolkingsregister na de stadhuisbrand in 1929. Op de kopse kant staat het opschrift gegraveerd "GEM: BESTUUR LEIDEN". De clip bevat een krulversiering en eronder staat het cijfer "585" (goudmerk). Bij de punt staat het opschrift gegraveerd "AANGEB: VOOR BEWEZEN DIENSTEN NA STADHUISBRAND OP 12-2-1929." De acht kanten van het vulpotlood zijn gedecoreerd met een ingegraveerde arcering.
