Wandtapijt geweven op een jaquardgetouw met over het hele tapijt kleine vlakjes in diverse grijs- en wittinten. De vlakjes lopen min of meer in schuine banen en worden naar boven toe kleiner. Om het werk een schuin gestreepte rand. In de rand linksonder meegeweven de tekst: vier velden - quatre champs : avond - soir. Rechtsonder meegeweven in beige het signatuur. Aan de achterzijde is bovenlangs een strook groene katoen genaaid als ophangsysteem.
