SNEAK PEAK: NIEUW LEIDS LAKEN IN JUNI OP DE COVER VAN LEVEN

2 mei 2014

LEVEN! magazine is among the shiniest regional glossy's in Holland. It covers the people, locations and projects which make life fascinating. For the cover of the June issue, National Photographer Koen Hauser was asked to shoot the cover. He joined forces with Museum De Lakenhal. The museum commissions five assignments to contemporary designers in the period of 2013-2017. Based on craft techniques, motifs and patterns, archive sources, documents and objects from the museum, all of which were passed down the ages, they will develop new, contemporary fabric and products that will be on sale by the name of New Leiden Cloth in the museum shop as from 2017. In May 2014 the first result is presented, designed by Christie van der Haak.

Koen Hauser (1972) works and lives in Leiden.
