Giselle Kuster | Stories in paint
Giselle Kuster lived and worked in Leiden as a successful artist and gallery owner, right in the midst of the turbulent times of World War II. Today, her work is no longer very well known. Over time, her story and a large portion of her artworks have faded from public view. Museum De Lakenhal is searching for her 'lost' works. These are artworks of which we sometimes have an image, but more often than not, only a title or description. What do you think these works look like? Let your imagination run wild with titles like 'Two Women in Yellow' or 'Symphony in Gray-Green' and paint your own interpretation of these works.
