Open Studio: A Garden of Paper
For centuries, artists have drawn inspiration from flowers—whether from their vibrant colors, varied shapes, or symbolic meanings. They often let their imaginations run wild. Their lush bouquets featured flowers that didn’t grow in the same season, let alone in the same country. They simply put them together, and people loved it. And in the Open Studio, you’ll do the same. In this workshop, you’ll create your own flower. Using coffee filters, crepe paper, wire, and other materials, cut and fold to make the most beautiful and wackiest flowers you can imagine.

Ontdek samen het museum met het Familiespoor. Trek alle lades met een gouden button open en leer het museum nog beter kennen door allerlei opdrachten te doen. Ga op zoek naar symbolen in schilderijen, leer alles over het maakproces van Leids laken of speel spelletjes bij kunstwerken uit de moderne tijd. Je kunt de bijbehorende plattegrond gratis afhalen bij de Informatiebalie.

Liever thuis aan de slag? Tover dan je keukentafel om tot kunstenaarswerkplaats met de opdrachten in ons Thuisatelier. Beleg een kunstzinnige boterham, maak je eigen glas in lood raam of speel een speciale editie van het spel ‘Wie ben ik’. Deel je jouw kunstwerk met ons via #kunstmakenmetkunstenaars?
